the past glory of concrete giants

This is my dissertation piece. The topic of the text was to give an overarching consensus of post-soviet architecture in Poland created between 1945 and 1989. I also talked about how different generations can perceive the architecture differently based on the time they were born in and political circumstances they experienced.

In my project I imagined how the dissertation would look like if it was published in a magazine. To achieve that, I created a series of illustrations depicting buildings I used as case studies. The colour palette and fonts were picked with strong influence of published pieces of that time period.
